Visiter une cave de Champagne : Ruinart
Il existe de nombreuses maisons prestigieuses, mais si vous souhaitez vous mettre au frais et visiter un lieu unique, les crayères de la maison Ruinart sont vraiment un lieu en dehors du temps. Il y a en effet 2000 ans, les crayères étaient utilisées comme habitation par les habitants de Durocortorum (Reims) qui était alors la capitale de nos ancêtres les gaulois. Depuis les crayères sont inscrites au Patrimoine Mondial de l’Unesco depuis 2015 et classées Site Historique depuis 1931. Explorer la cathédrale de Reims
Mes vieux souvenirs d’histoire du collège me rappellent que Reims fut la cité des sacres des Rois de France. Entrons donc dans ce monument qui nous replonge dans l’histoire de France. Plus de 33 rois sortirent de la cathédrale avec une belle couronne, dont notamment un certain Clovis. Avec 38 mètres de hauteur et 2303 statues (non je ne les ai pas comptées), elle est une des plus belles cathédrales gothiques de France. Malgré qu’elle ait été endommagé en 1914 et en 1962 elle est désormais magnifiquement restaurée.
Faire le plein de Biscuits Roses
Vous devez certainement connaître mon penchant pour la pâtisserie et il ne faut donc surtout pas manquer la deuxième spécialité locale : les biscuits roses. Inventé en 1756 par la maison Fossier, ce petit biscuit tout léger s’apprécie forcément à la terrasse d’un café pour une pause gourmande. Pour ceux qui aimeraient tenter l’aventure vous avez également la possibilité d’en faire à la maison :
- 250 g d’oeufs (5 oeufs moyens)
- 290 g de sucre en poudre
- 225 g de farine
- 112 g de fécule
- 5 g de levure chimique
- colorant rouge
- sucre glace
Faire monter dans le bol du robot les oeufs, le sucre, le colorant (10 mn à vitesse moyenne). Mélanger la farine, la fécule, la levure. Mélanger délicatement les 2 préparations avec une spatule.
Dresser à l’aide d’une poche les biscuits sur une plaque et saupoudrer de sucre glace.
Mettre dans le four préchauffer à 180°C’est prêt !
